"The Surveyor"
This is the famous statue that stands in the center of town in Dawson Creek, British Columbia. It points the way to the Alaskan Highway--mile marker "0" is right next to the statue. |

Tracy at Mile "0" on the Alaskan Highway.
Only 1000 miles to go from here!! |
Me, Nelson, and Emily
The dogs and I standing by Mile "0." As you can see, the RV is hanging in there. |
"Places, please"
A good shot of the typical spots everyone takes during the trip. Tracy driving, Emily on "her" sofa, and Nelson in "his" chair. Somehow, the dogs are still able to sleep through the night after sleeping the entire day. |

Part of the Canadian Rocky Mountains
We drove for over 4 hours and were in the mountains the entire time. The views were overwhelming and just left us breathless. |
More mountains
The photos do not portray the magnificance of these mountains. I have never seen such beautiful scenery |

Muncho Lake
This lake was so clear you could see forever down into it. |
The RV at Muncho Lake
Still running! And, only 445 miles to go at this point! |
Stone Sheep
There's a little baby in the group. This is not a great shot as Tracy took it in the side view mirror. |
Stone Sheep
This guy was trying to figure out why Nelson was barking at him from the RV window. |
Stone Sheep
This is shortly after Nelson started barking at them. He was freaked! He didn't know what in the world these things next to his RV were. The sheep had no fear of the cars and would simply stand there on the side--or middle of--the road. |
Bison
Here's one of the wild bison we saw in Northern British Columbia. They completely ignore cars--and RVs. |
Another bison
This one's loosing his winter coat. |
Alaska Highway Bridge
Here's one of the many, many bridges on the Alaska Highway. This is one reason it's a difficult drive--as you can see, this bridge is very, very narrow and is expected to hold traffic coming from both directions. |
Moose
This is a momma moose and her 2 babies. We couldn't get closer as they, unlike the sheep and bison, don't ignore cars. She took off, babies following, right after we get this photo. |

Watson Lake Sign Forest
This place has over 50,00 signs from the various tourists that have passed through on the Alaskan Highway. It was all started by a GI in WW2. |
